Margaret J. Percival

biography

(last update August 2010)

I was born in Somerset, moved to Surrey in the late 70s and then made my home in Kent in the early 80s.

Most of my working life has been spent in London, working for some of the UK's largest companies in senior PA/secretarial roles. All thought of art, my favourite subject at school and college, was put on the back burner until I was fortunate enough to swap my London office desk for a drawing board/easel in late 2004.

I am a member of the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society and exhibit with them annually at Marwell Hall, which is set within the grounds of Marwell Zoological Park, Hampshire. I also exhibit in Kent with the Canterbury and Folkestone Art Societies and my work can also be purchased at their exhibitions. My work is held in private collections in the UK and overseas.

London Exhibitions

For the past four years I have exhibited with the Society of Feline Artists at their London exhibition which is held at the prestigious Llewellyn Alexander Gallery. This exhibition is keenly anticipated by cat lovers and collectors around the world.

In March 2010 I returned to my favourite continent, Africa, this time visiting southern Tanzania.  Whilst there I visited the Selous Game Reserve, Mikumi National Park and Ruaha National Park and returned home with some great photo reference.

Regular donations are made to animal charities from the sale of my artwork.

I accept commissions for any subject matter.

Also, do visit my acrylic/impasto gallery. This is a series of paintings called Blue and Gold.

This website will be updated on a regular basis with new work.

Please email me, via my contact page, if you wish to purchase my work.
